Where do the flower bulbs go next?

Many flower bulbs are sold in other countries. They could be sold directly to the company that will export them. But many flower bulbs are also sold at auction. Our flower bulbs are bought primarily in countries where winters are cold. This generates a lot of money for the Netherlands.

Our government is thus very pleased that so many flower bulbs are grown in our country. Many of these flower bulbs are sold to people with gardens. They buy them in a shop or garden centre. Many people also buy flower bulbs from a webshop. These flower bulbs are then planted in a garden or in pots on a balcony.
